Texas Leads All Other States in Job Creation for the Month of June and for the Past 12 Months (June 2010 to June 2011)

The Texas jobs engine continues to fire on all cylinders, capitalizing on the pro-growth environment fostered under Gov. Perry's leadership.

In June, 32,000 net new jobs were created in Texas according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics--more than any other state. Confirming the fact that this isn't a one-month anomaly, the Bureau also notes that from June 2010 to June 2011, Texas led all other states by leaps and bounds, adding 220,000 net new jobs.

Governor Perry Signs the Cut, Cap, Balance Pledge

Today Governor Perry signed the Cut, Cap, Balance Pledge, promoting the sound fiscal policies that have Texas leading the nation.

The pledge includes:

"...Cut — Substantial cuts in spending that will reduce the deficit next year and thereafter.

Cap — Enforceable spending caps that will put federal spending on a path to a balanced budget.

Balance — Congressional passage of a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, but only if it includes both a spending limitation and a super-majority for raising taxes, in addition to balancing revenues and expenses."
