AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has received the endorsement of Allan Parker, Jr., president of the Justice Foundation, for re-election in 2010.
“Gov. Perry’s longtime leadership in fostering a pro-life, pro-family environment in Texas is unsurpassed,” said Parker. “He has been instrumental in efforts to protect the unborn, defend traditional marriage and strengthen Texas families. I am proud to offer him my endorsement for re-election and look forward to continue working with him to defend the values that offer Texans the outstanding quality of life we enjoy today.”
Parker has served as the president of the Justice Foundation (formerly the Texas Justice Foundation) since 1993 when it was founded to protect the fundamental freedoms and rights essential to the preservation of American society. Under his leadership, the foundation has represented clients free of charge in cases of limited government, private property, free markets, parental school choice, parental rights in education, and enforcing laws to protect women’s health.
“If not for the efforts of people like Allan and organizations like the Justice Foundation, our conservative values could have been compromised by left-wing litigation and our state’s pro-life culture swept away by misguided legislation,” said Gov. Perry. “Instead, thanks to their unshakeable devotion, Texas is one of the strongest states for the protecting the child in the womb, and conservatives can be bold in speaking out for the values that unite us.
