AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry has received the endorsement of Kelly Shackelford, president of the Free Market Foundation.
“I have known Governor Rick Perry for many years,” said Shackelford. “He is simply unequaled by anyone in his stance for faith, family, and freedom. He is the clear choice for all true conservatives.”
As president and CEO of the Free Market Foundation since 1997, Shackelford has worked to protect freedoms and strengthen families for more than a decade. He has argued before the U.S. and Texas Supreme Courts and testified before the U.S. Congress and the Texas Legislature. He was awarded the William Bentley Ball Award for Life and Religious Freedom Defense for his leadership and pioneering work to protect religious freedom.
