Statement by Gov. Perry on the Election of Republican Governors in Virginia and New Jersey

"I want to congratulate Governor-elect Bob McDonnell of Virginia and Governor-elect Chris Christie of New Jersey on their impressive victories. The voters of Virginia and New Jersey voted to change course by restoring control of their statehouses to the Republican Party. Conservatives across the nation should be emboldened by the decisive results in Virginia and New Jersey, and know that we must continue this momentum in 2010. These victories are a clear signal that policies coming out of Washington are not working and voters trust Republican governors to provide necessary change."
