AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today received the endorsement of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists PAC (TSAPAC) for re-election in 2010.
"Gov. Perry's support of anesthesiologists has significantly improved quality of care and safety for the citizens of Texas," said TSA President Patrick Y. Giam, MD. "TSAPAC is proud to enthusiastically endorse Rick Perry for re-election as Governor of Texas."
TSAPAC represents approximately 2,900 Texas anesthesiologists. Established in September 1993, the goal of the committee is to support the medical specialty of anesthesiology and the anesthesiology profession in the State of Texas.
“Texas anesthesiologists represent an important segment of our health care industry and I am proud to have TSAPAC’s support in the upcoming election,” said Gov. Perry. “I will continue working with them and other health care professionals to meet the challenges facing our state and ensure that federal health care legislation currently before Congress does not compromise the flexibility Texas needs to deliver quality, cost-effective care.”
